Meet Glimmers she is a young APHA Mare who has come to us to be Started Under Saddle. She is by nature a very confident mare and had a misunderstanding of boundaries. We hope to show you some of her first rides and her progress through the months she is with us.

A great start is the beginning of a great horse!

Here I am asking Glimmer to move her shoulders over to the right and travel around me in an almost lateral fashion, even though I am asking her to step over with her shoulder I am not sending her away or asking her to leave (mentally or physically).

Working on Glimmer give her head and neck without moving her feet. And being able to be relaxed with holding that bend. The Audio is a bit rough – it was very windy that day. But watch carefully for when I release and when she relaxes.
