Foal Imprinting:
$150.00 (HST included)
72 Hours of Foal Handling. Multiples of short sessions with the foal. Working on bonding the foal to humans by establishing a relationship of security and trust. This is done by rubbing, scratching, stroking and handling the foal. Creating positive associations. For every negative association (such as restraint for navel dipping, or for the vet) we do double the positive. Habituate the foal to all sorts of stimuli it will experience later in life, like a blanket on its back or clippers buzzing around its ears, noises, touch with different textures. Each stimulus is repeated until the foal is desensitized. Sensitize the foal to other stimuli. This is a conditioned response like picking up his feet when asked, following the lead rope without resistance or moving his hindquarters laterally when cued on the side.

Foal Halter Training:
$250.00 (HST included)
We expose your foal to a halter for the first time. Get them accustomed to wearing a halter (only when we are present in the stall with them). Once the foal is accepting of the halter and we have taught them through various stages of Guiding to give to pressure we then introduce leading off of lead pressure.

Advanced Foal Training:
$100/week (HST included)
We will continue to work with your foal several times a week to Introduce them to the concepts of yielding to pressure (FQ, HQ, backing), following a feel (for leading in straight lines, around obstacles, circles and various other patterns), obstacle exposure (pylons, poles, tarps, bridges, pedestals, boards etc), Trailer Loading, Advanced Desensitization (tarps, flags, loud noises, other farm animals).
