Meet Quinn she is a young AQHA Mare that has been showing some pretty severe aggression behaviours (lunging and biting) especially when people come into her space (her stall). We are going to work through these issues and see what causes her to feel like she needs to act out this way.

Week 1 (21:12) – Response to Pressure Working on getting to know Quinn and see how she responds to pressure and reading her appropriately. Week 2 (19:19) – Catching and Pressure Working with Quinn at liberty to gauge her response to pressure and how she is approached to try and narrow down why she reacts the way she does when approached in a stall or run. Week 3 (18:54) – Working On responsibilities and Expectations Showing where we are at with Quinn’s response to pressure both direct and indirect. Week 4 (12:53) – Quinn After an Osteopath Adjustment Quinn was adjusted and we found a lot of issues within her body which certainly could contribute to her attitude and response to pressure. So in this video she is learning how to move again after the adjustment. Week 5 (26:35) -Bareback Pad Introduction Help Quinn to be confident and accepting of the bareback pad and find relaxation with it on. Week 6 (9:29) – Building Acceptance of Bareback Pad Helping Quinn become less worried and defensive about the Bareback pad. Week 7 (20:21) – Continuing With Acceptance of Bareback Pad Helping Quinn become less worried and defensive about the Bareback pad. She was having a particularly hard time with it this day. Week 9 (21:29) – Tacking and Working With The Saddle Quinn has become more accepting of the Bare Back Pad so this is the second day tacking her with the saddle and working her out on the circle. Assessing her response to the saddle with her movement and response to pressure. Week 10 (19:15) – Finding Relaxation Within The Exercise Working with Quinn to find relaxation with tacking up with the saddle, and bridle, then moving out on the circle at both a walk and jog without making assumptions and breaking gait. Also teaching Quinn to be able to handle pressure better. Week 11 (25:03) – Finding Relaxation On the Circle Having Quinn be able to go out and walk around on the circle without rushing forward and being worried. Using changes of direction to help slow her feet and calm her mind. Week 12 (18:01) – Mounting Prep Gaining confidence with Quinn by the Mounting Block. Turning it into a rest and relaxation spot. Working on Lateral Flexion as well from the Mounting Block. Week 13 (12:06) – Mounting Prep Gaining confidence with Quinn by the Mounting Block. Turning it into a rest and relaxation spot. Working on Lateral Flexion as well from the Mounting Block – this time in the bridle. Week 15 (11:30) – First Ride Quinn’s first ride with us, working on building confidence and understanding of pressure.
