Meet Moon she is a young AQHA Mare that has been started in the past – but had a bit of a rough go with her previous owner and bucked her off, her new owner has been working with her to gain trust and confidence and reached out to us to help her with the next step. We will be working with Moon to develop her confidence back and ensure there is nothing physical going on that might cause her to have such a big reaction as bucking.

Video Descriptions

Week 1 (26:36) – Developing Responsibilities  Working with Moon in a new environment and setting some basic ground rules and expectation starting with tying, and grooming. Moon struggles to focus on the task (picking up her feet) due to environmental pressures. Week 2 (12:35)Tacking With Saddle Since Moon did so well last week with the bareback pad we introduced the saddle today and got a bit of a reaction (some bucking). So worked her through the bucking anxiety and worked towards finding relaxation. Week 2 Part 2 (10:43) – Finding Relaxation With Saddle Continuation of finding relaxation now with the saddle on. Week 3 (18:41) – Slowing Her Feet Moon is very rushed and a bit worried about everything she does so working on having Moon be able to just calmly walk around with the saddle on and not have to rush off when asked to change direction or assume every bit of pressure means move forward faster.
