Working with Steele on the circle, wanting to make assumptions (walk when I asked for jog and jog when I asked for walk).

Working with Steele on the circle, building his responsibilities within his gaits as well as when it comes to his whoa.

Working on the lay down cue – its been a while, wanting to work towards transitioning to asking for the laydown without having to prompt him by picking up the leg.

Day 283 (6:29)
Reviewing some Yields for Pre-Saddle Training, asking him to Yield where my heel would be for riding. Getting him moving off halter pressure to help transition to eventual bridle pressure.

Hoof trimming without a Handler.

Lead By The Leg. An important exercise to help them follow a feel rather than panic when they get ropes or fences around their legs.

Follow A Feel from a Neck Rope. Teaching Steele to be soft off of pressure from his neck rather than the halter – to get him used to eventual neck reining.

Day 294 (8:34)
Follow A Feel from a Girth Rope. Teaching Steele to be soft off of pressure from his girth line rather than the halter – to get him used to eventual leg yielding. As well as getting used to the pressure of where a cinch will be eventually.

Working on some desensitization with the white tarp.

Working on 180 Degree Turns for Lunge Line Classes – also getting a precise Shoulder Yield and Pivot.

Working on 180 Degree Turns. Advancing, expecting more.
